Hey, remember me?

Poor Miss Stella and I were both struck down with a nasty cold, resulting in both of us ending up on antibiotics for one reason or another. Between the two of us the bug hung out in this house for 3 weeks. I don’t wish it on anyone (many, anyway)… it’s taken me forever to feel back to normal and to find any ounce of motivation to complete something. Anything.

Poor Stella is still rather clingy in miserable. Trying to find activities to keep us entertained has been… entertaining.

Woe is me aside, I’m wrapping a practically weeklong birthday celebration with my closest friends and family. I feel like I’m going to need another week to recover!

Last weekend my mother, sister and husband put together an amazing surprise party. I was so touched by the people who traveled to celebrate with me!

Monday my mother and I went up to the Museum of Play to meet Stella’s favorite character in the Whole Wide World- the Cat in the Hat. (Whom she affectionally calls Go-Go.)

From afar? Go-Go was the coolest.

Oh, wow, Mommy! Go-Go!

Up close? Not so much.

My husband took the day off to spend my birthday with me. We had an amazing day that started with my favorite breakfast ever with my two favorite people ever.

With zero plans for the day doing whatever Stella wanted to do became the primary plan.

Glow in the Dark Sand by Crayola.

We began our Saturday by building the coolest fort ever. Complete with guard dogs.

You haven’t lived until you’ve eaten breakfast in a fort.

Then we snuggled up and watched Shrek 2.

That evening my parents took Stella and we went out for an amazing dinner.

Sunday my family took us to brunch and then came over to hang out.

My sister made amazing conch fritters.

That disappeared too quickly for a picture.

And we wrapped up the weekend with a Stella Parade. (If you haven’t participated in one- you’re missing out!)

“Erin, clap!”

Now I promise to return to some at least semi regular posting.
